Promotion of European Traditional Games and Sports, TOGETHER for an Inclusive Intercultural Dialogue with People with Intellectual Disabilities
ADISPAZ
The Association of Parents of People with Mental Disabilities "La Paz" (ADISPAZ) is a private non-profit association that works for people with intellectual disabilities. It is composed of family members (parents) of people with intellectual (mental) disabilities in order to better defend their interests.
In spite of being a small organization, ADISPAZ is very active in inclusion actions. This association has participated in some traditional play experiences with people with and without intellectual disability. Among these initiatives, it is worth it mentioning the organization of the 1st edition of the Traditional Paralympic Games in 2005, which was attended by 300 people with disabilities. This year, traditional games activities for people with intellectual disabilities are periodically held in their schools and other entities in the Autonomous Community of Aragon.
ANFFAS Altamura
ANFFAS Onlus is a large association of relatives and friends of people with intellectual and/or relational disabilities founded in Rome on March 28, 1958. Although its national headquarters are still in Rome, it currently has a leading organization with approximately 168 local associations, 16 regional organizations and 45 independent organizations.
In 2012, they participated in a regional tender with the "Social Lab" project, creating a computer and multimedia content project, always active, with advanced technologies to promote the conscious use of computers and social networks.
At national level, they have been the promoters of the law n. 112/2016 "Dopo di Noi" for people with moderate to severe disabilities without family support.
Currently, they have two structures:

The Oasi Centre: a semi-residential day centre where socio-educational and rehabilitation activities are carried out for people with a moderate level of disability. The centre has 30 users.

The Club 105: a day centre for people with minor disabilities with 23 users.
UNAPEI- Papillons Blancs des Rives de Seine
The UNAPEI Rives de Seine Association pursues the following objectives:

Through its family activities, to provide people with mental disabilities and families with the moral and material support they need, to develop a spirit of mutual support and solidarity, to help them with information. Likewise, to advise and provide constructive answers facilitating family welfare, thus managing to stimulate them in the associative life.

To promote equal treatment before the law for any person with a mental disability in the right to education, training, employment, culture, sport and, in general, any right for which they consider fighting against discrimination and guaranteeing full citizenship.

To give rise to the creation and management of structures and institutions that support this project in order to meet the needs of information, education, rehabilitation, adaptation, professional integration and social integration of people in a disadvantaged situation. The mission of the Association is to create and manage institutions that are adapted to all stages of life.

To develop special relations with Associations in Paris and neighbouring towns with which they share objectives.
INEFC
National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia
The TOGETHER project is also relevant for INEFC professors. Through this experience, they will share the development of an inclusive educational unit of intercultural games with centres for disabled people in other European regions. Furthermore, this experience will be conducted thanks to the collaboration of the researchers-university teachers with trainers from PHM's centres for people with disabilities and with others who use traditional games. This interaction will combine theory and practice. It will also help to highlight the social impact of traditional European sports and games on inclusive intercultural dialogue. This solidarity between university teachers and trainers of people with disabilities will be a good experience of mutual enrichment. It will be an innovative project in the field of education in general and adapted (inclusive) physical education in particular.
AEJeST
European Association for Traditional Sports and Games
AEJeST is an organization that aims to promote networking, team building among teams interested in the recovery and application of values that promote traditional games and sports as Intangible Cultural Heritage. This organization gathers a wide range of institutions (primary schools, secondary schools and universities, museums, traditional sports federations, cultural associations, ...). However, until now, none interested in the use of traditional games and sports with people with mental disabilities has joined.
The TOGETHER project will continue to enrich the networking function at European level. Moreover, through some of its members, it will be able to collaborate directly in adapting the rules and traditional games equipment as a means of inclusion
El Fuerte
Traditional games and Sports. Research center
The former convent of San Lorenzo now known as "El Fuerte" houses the museum of an important recreational heritage and a collection of more than 2000 pieces related to traditional European games. "El Fuerte" is a cultural center with an open and participative project that seeks to be a reference in the world of recreational heritage in order to become an effective tool for intercultural dialogue. The center welcomes school groups interested in the educational role of traditional games.
Its main activities are visiting - the museum, revitalizing activities with city centers, the province and the community of Aragon. At a local level, it is directly connected to many centers and, especially, to ADIPAZ.
